August 14, 2006 Inocon Group Works with new Arizona Cardinals Stadium to Create Emergency Operations Plan Glendale, Arizona The new state-of-the-art facility opened in Glendale, Arizona on August 12 with a pre-season NFL game between the Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The facility will be the home to not only the Arizona Cardinals, but also to the annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the BCS National Championship Game every four years, and will host Super Bowl XLII in February of 2008. In advance of opening the facility to the public for the first time, Cardinals Stadium management had to ensure their people and their facility were ready to manage both normal and exceptional operations. The Inocon Group was engaged to identify the risks faced by the facility, and to help create a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan to mitigate those risks. Beginning in June 2006, Inocon’s team worked closely with stadium management and local law enforcement to review and analyze existing planning initiatives, identify critical and required plan elements, and to create planning materials and management tools. Inocon conducted interviews and cross-functional integration sessions with stadium department leaders and stakeholders in order to capture and understand key issues as they relate to emergency planning. In late July, Inocon delivered a comprehensive set of emergency and contingency plans that constitute the foundation for current and future emergency plans.
